Mama Tried has become one of those go-to winter events to help us scratch our motorcycle itch while it’s too cold to ride. Yet this year the weather felt more like late spring than mid-winter. Johnny and I made the trip up to Milwaukee on Friday evening to catch the Flat Out Friday racing action, and then I returned on Saturday to check out the custom show at Mama Tried. We also talked to two Chicago-area custom builders showing motorcycles at Mama Tried this year. We talked to Peter Müller from Federal Moto and Craig Rodsmith, who both gave us the run down on their remarkable builds for this year’s show.

Mama Tried 2017 is an annual event designed to give motorcycling enthusiasts a thrilling experience during the winter season. It is a perfect opportunity for people to explore custom motorcycles while it's too cold to ride. The 2017 edition saw an unexpectedly warm weather that made it feel more like late spring than mid-winter. At the event, visitors had the chance to witness the Flat-Out Friday racing action and the custom motorcycle show. Our team at Motoworks Chicago ventured to Milwaukee to get an insider's look at the show, and we spoke to two Chicago-based custom builders, Peter Müller from Federal Moto and Craig Rodsmith. They shared with us the exciting details of their outstanding builds showcased at the event.
